I just wanted to write to thank you and the team in attendance yesterday at Heather’s funeral.

Everyone was very complimentary about the service and the way the team handled the ceremony and the arrangements so perfectly for Heather. The service hit just the right tone and your consideration for everyone in the room was perfect.

I’ve also written to Sarah to thank her warmly for the way she conducted the service. She was perfect and Heather’s daughter, was convinced that Sarah must have met Heather at some point!

Peter too is very grateful to you and everyone who was so kind and considerate. He was very much dreading the day as you know but he appreciated the way the team handled everything with such kindness and compassion. He is a lot calmer today and was able to say that he will remember the ceremony with gratitude and affection.

From the moment we contacted Burnham Funeral Services after a sudden bereavement at home on Valentine’s Day, the care, compassion and professionalism we received was absolutely exceptional.

We dealt with Steph almost entirely from beginning to end, and she was truly phenomenal. At one of the most traumatic and overwhelming times imaginable, she made us feel completely supported and cared for throughout. She honestly ended up feeling like part of the family.

Nothing was ever too much trouble for her. She never once made us feel rushed, pressured or like we were taking up too much of her time. She was endlessly patient, compassionate and reassuring, and explained everything clearly, especially when the coroner became involved. It genuinely felt like our hand was being held every step of the way.

There was never any pressure or hard sell, just kindness, warmth and understanding throughout. We discussed our wishes and they not only listened, they completely surpassed them. The ceremony itself was exactly what we wanted down to every last little detail, personal, touching and handled beautifully. Even keeping the ashes safely for us until we felt emotionally ready to scatter them was done with such care and sensitivity.

The celebrant who had conducted our Gran’s funeral years ago had sadly retired, but Steph recommended somebody with such a similar warmth and style that it felt absolutely perfect for our family.

The entire experience was dignified, comforting and beautifully organised from start to finish. Strange as it sounds, it almost felt like a little loss itself when we no longer had reason to speak regularly with Steph.

We cannot recommend Burnham Funeral Services highly enough to anybody in Burnham-on-Sea or the surrounding area. In fact, the experience was so reassuring and positive that we fully intend to return in due course to arrange our own funeral plans ourselves, simply to spare our family future stress, because we know without question they would be in the very best hands.

Thank you for making such a heartbreaking time feel so supported, gentle and full of genuine care. We truly felt wrapped in cotton wool throughout.

Steph has been exceptional in arranging both my parent's funerals. She is compassionate, empathetic and has great attention to detail. She made sure everything was as my parents and us as a family wanted it to be. Both services were beautiful. Every member of staff I encountered at BFS was respectful, professional and caring. I can't recommend them more highly.

We cant thank Steph and Zoe enough for the incredible care and support they provided when we lost my wife and children's mum. From the very first moment, they were kind, attentive, and made an incredibly difficult time more manageable. Every step was handled with such dignity and compassion. Excellent, professional Funeral Service. I was kept informed and helped throughout, which culminated in creating an uplifting day at my Husband’s cremation. It was just what he would have wanted and helped me and my family on the the day.

When my MiL recently and unexpectedly passed I phoned a couple of funeral directors. I chose to use Burnham Funeral Services because of Steph. I can’t describe the weight lifted from my shoulders after our initial conversation. Steph, was professional, knowledgeable and compassionate. Organising a funeral is never easy, especially when you are grieving but I truly felt that I had made the right decision by using them. Steph kept me informed throughout the process, she was able to answer all of my questions, nothing was too much trouble. The service was beautiful, I know we did my MiL proud.

Considering Funeral Services are only needed at such a stressful time the Family had a good experience with Burnham Funeral. Our initial point of contact Steph was very helpful in suggesting & organising the link up with the Church before & after the service & ensured that everything went smoothly with the help of Zoe when she was away for a few days.
