About Us

About Burnham Funeral Services

Burnham Funeral Services has been providing a funeral service within the community of Burnham since 1991. We have established a close, trusting relationship with many Burnham familes as well as those living in Highbridge and the surrounding areas.

Here at Burnham Funeral Services we also offer an affordable prepaid funeral plan, Choice, so that you can arrange and pay for a funeral in advance. This will protect your family from rising costs and remove uncertainty about your wishes.

If you would like to talk to us about planning a funeral, or our Choice plan, please come and see us in any of our funeral homes, or if you’d rather we can arrange a home visit. We’re also available 24 hours a day on the phone so if you need anything please don’t hesitate to call your local funeral home.

Meet the Team

Danielle Marsh

Embalmer

My name is Danielle and I have lived in Burnham-On-Sea my entire life.

Burnham Funeral Services has always been a big part of my life growing up as my father Richard Marsh founded the business in 1991 and we have proudly served our local community ever since. We joined Funeral Partners in 2020 and have loved being a part of and supported by a much wider team.

I joined the Business in July 2014 and have enjoyed every moment; it is such a privilege and honour to be able to look after our families’ loved ones for that final time. In 2021 I became a fully qualified embalmer, and I am now apart of the British Institute of Embalmers.

I take great pride in ensuring the best care is provided to our families and their loved ones. I have been fortunate enough to have gained experience in most aspects of the business over the years.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and taking my two children to the various sporting hobbies that they love.

Hollie Jones

Funeral Service Operative

Hi everyone, I’m Hollie. I have joined the Burnham team as a Funeral Service Operative.

I’ve worked within the care sector, pharmaceutical and people focussed jobs my whole career so. I know how important the end-of-life journey is since supporting the elderly and their families whilst working in care. I pride myself in making sure dignity, comfort and care is given to those I look after and would treat everyone as if they’re my own family.

In my free time I love to be a Mum, days out with my partner and seeing family who are also based in the area and close by. We have a little pug who loves Burnham beach.

Kellie Bennett

Funeral Service Operative

My name is Kellie and I have joined the Burnham team as a Funeral Service Operative.

I have always held a deep respect for the Funeral Service Industry and attaining the position of Funeral Service Operative feels like I’ve accomplished a long standing professional goal.

My years spent delivering highly personalised individual care in the role of Health Care Assistant has equipped me with the knowledge base and skill set to support an already experienced team.

I am passionate and attentive in all my endeavours, with an innate compassionate and caring nature and a keen eye for detail.

Andy Markwick

Funeral Service Operative

My name is Andy, I have joined the Burnham team as a Funeral Service Operative.

I have spent the majority of my working life as a Nurse in the NHS. After enjoying my retirement for a couple of years from the NHS, I found myself needing a new challenge, thankfully a position came up in Burnham Funeral Services. This feels like a great match for me.

Zoe Conway

Funeral Arranger

My name is Zoe, I have worked in the Funeral sector for 8 years. I joined Burnham Funeral Services in March 2024 as the Funeral Arranger and have played a key part in refreshing and reorganising our funeral home.

As a funeral arranger my aim is to help and guide families through the difficult process of arranging a loved one’s funeral.

I find it an honour to help families and will do everything I can to make your loved ones final journey special and bespoke to their wishes.

In my spare time I spend it with my children and grandchildren.
